Bridle Your Tongue - Anger

If anyone among you thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.
James 1:26

Sometimes I catch myself regretting my words.  Especially when I say things in anger.  I think we need to heed the warnings of an unbridled tongue.  It can lead to harsh words, explosive tempers and unkind actions.

It’s okay to be angry, but we are to be “slow to wrath.”  Let’s not allow our answer to grow, turn into hate or hold grudges.

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.  James 1:19-20
