Delight in Him

"But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night."

People who delights in the word of God do not have to be reminded to read it, because they long for it.  The Bible contains treasures for those who are willing to allow the truth to penetrate their hearts.

Peace

"The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do and the God of peace will be with you."  Philippians 4:9

 Reading:  Philippians 4:4-9

Learn - Are you pouring the teaching of God's work into my life?

Receive - Have you received God into my heart by faith?

Hear - Not just to hear with your ears, but apply it to our lives.

Saw - Have you asked God to give you spiritual discernment to know what is true (of God) and what is false?

Do - Are you making peace a continual practice?  Are you incorporating God's spiritual truths to our day to day lives.

Let's respond graciously in a peaceful manner.  When we practice this, we demonstrate the attitude of our Savior.

Woman of Virtue

Virtue is moral excellence. A virtue is a positive trait or quality deemed to be morally good and thus is valued as a foundation of principle and good moral being. Personal virtues are characteristics valued as promoting collective and individual greatness.

After reading the meaning of virtue, how can one not want to attain these qualities.  Qualities that God had intended for all of us to have.

• Moral excellence
• Positive trait
• Morally Good
• Valued
• Individual Greatness

If you study the traits of the women of the bible, you will see their ability to withstand opposition and to make wise decisions.  All these qualities are part of their virtue.  God wants his daughters to rise up and take a stand for Him.  Serve Him.  Believe in Him.

Let's learn from these amazing Godly women in the bible.  Let's not take our cues from the worldly women of today, but steer our ways to those who were great enough to mention in God's book.  Each of these women are meant to be a compass to point us to the true attitudes and actions that God had always intended for us to have.  Blessing to you my Sister!

Your Self Worth and Negativity

There are some people who always see things in a negative light.  They complain or find things wrong in every situation.  These people lack mercy and they are quick with judgement of themselves and others.  Negativity only harms ourselves and those around us.  We need to protect ourselves and make a conscious effort to keep negativity away.  God wants us to build one another up, not tear each other down.

As Christian women, we should look at ourselves and others and situations in life as God would see them.  God is sovereign and loves people unconditionally.  What a dramatic effect we could make on people if we only followed the example of Jesus.  Let's make that difference today!

"If God be for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31)

 

"The kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17:21).

Putting God First

When we put God first, all other things fall into their proper place.

Jesus taught His disciples that we must make a relationship with God our focus in life.  To be carefree is not the answer.  Sometimes we are careless about what we put in our bodies, what we watch on television and what we read.  God holds us responsible.  The greatest concern in life is to place our relationship with God first and everything must be second.

It is not an easy thing to do.  When we follow the Christian life, we need to allow the Holy Spirit to bring us into line with the teaching of Jesus.  Let go and let God!

Be Strong and Courageous

You can't really appreciate life until it has knocked you down a few times.  You can't really appreciate love until your heart has been broken.  And you can't really appreciate happiness until you've known sadness.  Once you've walked through the valley, the view from the mountaintop is breathtaking. - Susan Gale

We all need encouragement.  There are times when days don't go the way we plan and life becomes hard on all of us.  During those difficult times is when we need encouragement the most.  Have faith in God and he will see you through the hardships.  He is with you.  You are not alone.  The Bible has excellent verses that can bring hope.  Have some encouragement today!

He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved.
Psalm 62:6

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

Riches in the Word

The bible contains great riches for those of us who are willing to read it and allow God's teaching to permeate our hearts.  God's teaching renews are minds (get's us out of bad thinking), increases faith and encourages us to develop a closer relationship with Him.  If we choose to neglect to seek the Lord, we will always be spiritually hungry and never satisfied.

The key is to meditate on Scripture.  Go slow and take your time to allow the word to work in you.  There is treasure in making this practice a part of you daily routine.

"How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he mediates day and night.  He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.  The wicked are not so but they are like chaff which the wind drives away."  Psalm 1:1-4
