Proverbs 31:20

"She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy."

This woman, not only maintains her household and her family, but she is welcoming to the those that are in need.  With today's crazy schedule, who has time to take care of those that are less fortunate? The Proverbs 31 woman does!  She is our example.  When we give to the needy, our husband, children, and friends see our example.  It is important that we understand the blessings that God has given us.  God doesn't want us to be hoarders with all that He has given us.  The purpose for those blessings is for us share, give, and be examples of God's love.

Things to think about:

- How can you extend yourself to others that need help?
- How can you show God's love through your giving?
- What examples can you share with your children about the importance of giving?

She holds her husband's hand to remind him that she loves him and is grateful that God had brought them together.

Proverbs 31:15

Do you plan your day?  If you don’t, it would be helpful if you start planning.  Prepare a schedule and try to be disciplined about following it.  Once we have a clear direction, it would be less stressful in your day-to-day life.

Most of us don’t have maids. It would be nice if we did.  We can enlist the help of our children or husbands.  It is important that we take charge of our lives.  Don’t allow life to manage you.

Things to think about:

- Are you an early riser?  What tasks can you implement early in the morning before the rest of the household rises in the morning.

- Are you a night owl? (I am.) What can you do late at night to prepare for the next day?
